Infotech to develop the Global Trade and Technology(GTTC), New York
Website
Congressman
Charles B. Rangel announced his support of the Global Trade &
Technology Center at his birthday celebration at Tavern On The Green
on Thursday, July 31st. The GTTC will be a regional global trade
and technology center for small and medium-sized businesses and
individuals. We have identified suitable space at the Harlem Center
on the 10th floor, which is 21,000 square feet. The US Department
of Commerce is prepared to share this space with us. We have filed
and are completing our educational tax-exempt designation.
DOC will offer general export counseling and assistance; industry-specific
counseling and assistance; country-specific counseling and assistance;
trade contact and market research programs; and special market access
and technical assistance. DOC will also assist businesses with contacts
for export finance, insurance, and grants (non-agricultural); agricultural
export and finance programs; food, health, and safety inspection/certification
programs; and export licenses and controls. With this type of commercial
potential for the GTTC membership of large companies and that relationship,
the GTTC will build partnerships and supplier relationships with
US exporters and importers.
The GTTC will customize regional and industry trade programs updating
and analyzing market and political risk; provide electronic matchmaking
with video conferencing trade contact programs; computerize and
publish market information; sponsor domestic and foreign trade promotion
events; and offer several training programs for businesses and individuals
in the export and import industry. The GTTC's Web site www.gttc.us
is being developed by V2 INFOTECH, its office build out
is being designed by Hangar Design Group NY, legal services by The
Wadsworth Law Firm and accounting services by The Hutchinson and
Richardson, CPA Firm.
The GTTC will emphasize and enhance everyone's knowledge of the
African Growth and Opportunity Act, Andean Trade Preference, Caribbean
Basin Initiative, Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act, North American
Free Trade Agreement, United States - Israel Free Trade Area and
United States - Jordan Free Trade Area Implementation Act. The GTTC
will be promoting the need for free trade zones and/or Customs bonded
warehouses in east and west Harlem, the South Bronx, Hempstead,
Yonkers and northern New Jersey.
