Inter Ocean uses facilities of Al Jadaf Ship Docking Yard which is a synchrolift that can dock vessels of DWT 5000 tons. This comprises of ship docking and berthing facilities and vessels owners can either contact us or the jadaf Offices to book vessels on the synchrolift.
Engineering afloat is one of the main services requested regularly from vessels. A team of qualified personnel, backed by the experience of our Works manager, is on call around the clock to assist and provide services within the least possible time. Whenever possible repairs are executed on site since the emergency team is equipped with all the necessary facilities. Afloat repairs are not limited to mechanical breakdowns.
Mobile lifting services are provided by a fleet of cranes ranging from 20 to 100 ton maximum lifting capacity. This service is provided together with out qualified crane drivers in different locations. The Group offers various sizes and tonnage barges for hire. The barges are normally requested to assist along side vessels for the transportation of cargo by sea.

Inter Ocean has inculcated the habit of environmental awareness and safety amongst its personnel and as such we take it as seriously as the quality of our service. We see to it that our repair procedures are within the environmental protection norms prescribed by the International Marine Organization (IMO) and the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC).

Safety is another issue Inter Ocean adheres to and as such we adopt the following safety measures.

All work is properly coordinated, controlled and the appropriate safety measures enforced.

Adequate fire fighting capability is maintained throughout the repair period, both in general and specifically in the vicinity of hot work.
Enclosed spaces are maintained in a safe condition for people to enter.

Emergency exit/access from/to the ship is maintained throughout.

Hazardous materials (asbestos, chemicals, radioactive materials etc.) are handled in a safe manner.

High standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained.

Adequate lighting and the integrity of lighting and electrical supply systems is maintained.

Scaffolding and staging is safe to use.

Lifting operation are carried out safely.

The ship is safely moored throughout.

Testing of machinery and systems is properly coordinated with other repair activities.

Electrical circuits supplying equipment under maintenance or equipment which should not be started for any reason, are properly de-energized and locked or tagged out.

Both shipyard and ship employed sub-contractors comply with designated safety procedures.

Correct safety clothing and equipment is worn by all parties at all times while on board.
