Offering Solutions of the Sea
Building solutions for the maritime industry, which integrate financial and MIS systems with SCM, CRM etc, V2Infotech has ambitious plans for the future, including tapping overseas customers.
Anchored by Mr. Ved Chhabra's extensive, first-hand shipping experience, V2Infotech lineage traces back to the family of Bombay Marine Engineering Works and Inter Ocean Ship Repairs. Ved Chhabra and his daughter Vibha Bakshi together drive the business of V2Infotech.
"I have been in the shipping industry for way too long and have first-hand knowledge and years of experience. IT is an integral part of every business and I realized that the shipping industry is being neglected. V2Infotech is aimed at providing IT solutions to the shipping world," says Ved Chhabra.

V2Infotech's Product Portfolio
This company offers IT solutions that are designed to meet the needs of the different sections of the shipping industry.
"Since we have been in the business we are in a position to understand the intrinsic needs better. Our primary goal is to propel the maritime industry into the digital age by gainfully employing our years of experience and knowledge accumulated over the years," said Bakshi.
The various fields in which V2Infotech offers solutions to the maritime industry are for integrating financial and MIS systems with supply chain management, CRM, productivity improvement, job costing. "We aim at giving cost effective and quality driven services and solutions to the shipping industry," added Bakshi.
There are a number of other in-house products for the shipping industry too that have been created by V2's team of professionals.
To begin with PMS 2.5, which is a Windows-based product, catering to spare-part control of shipping vessels and ordering. "This helps keep track of maintenance of every piece of machinery on the ship. Thus, the entire automated system will be relieving the employees from going through tedious manual labor, which is not only time consuming but also did not ensure pristine perfection."
Yet another in-house solution offered caters to the needs of the shipping repair section. The modules under the HRMS package includes employee history maintenance, skills data bank maintenance and much more.

Partnering Top Brands
V2Infotech has partnered with globally acclaimed companies to offer solutions to the shipping industry. "We have tied up with Microsoft for their product called Navision," explained Bakshi. This product offers solutions in four distinct areas. "In the CRM section, we have solutions, sales and service management," explained Bakshi. Partnering with Denmark-based, Danware IT Solutions company was another important step taken by V2Infotech. Danware (a specialist in remote control) specializes in developing cross-platform, remote control software for PCs.
"We have been appointed the exclusive distributor for South-East Asia distributor and solution partner for this Denmark-based company. We are also focusing on sales promotion, marketing and after sales-services for the products," explained Bakshi.
The next alliance is with Talisma that offers CRM solutions in the industry. This product is built on a single code base. The three packages available in the category are Talisma Service Suite, Talisma Sales Suite and Talisma Marketing Suite.

Rocking the Boat of Success
V2Infotech has ambitious plans and is tapping a number of parties in the overseas market. "This is like a virgin market and since we have the expertise we see ourselves growing," said Bakshi.
"What we essentially do is educate the maritime industry about the needs of IT. Once the need is felt and the concerned party is ready to implement, we go on to implementation. We actually hold their hands till the final stage. Once we get the RSOI, only then do we feel that the project is successful," adds Bakshi.
