spare part control and requisition ordering.

PMS system onboard the ship offers the ship staff a powerful tool
to keep track of maintenance of every piece of machinery on the
ship, including the ship itself.
The planning of maintenance jobs is automated thus eliminating the
need for the Chief Engineer to go through a vast amount of manuals
wherein he would pick and choose the jobs to be done and possibly
miss out a few.
